Don’t have an employee mentality
Keith Robinson, one of the Lifehacker writers, has a thought provoking post which I feel strongly relates to being a Virtual Assistant business owner and entrepreneur. I like what he says about “owning” ones work and not having an employee mentality.
One of the biggest adjustments for me when starting my business was getting out of the subservient mentality and realizing that I am the boss. I have a responsiblity to serve my clients with excellence, monitor the whole project, and serve up deliverables that meet the clients need, head on.
